Head and Shoulders Anti-dandruff Shampoo

Head & ShouldersOne of my favorite cosmetic products of all times is Head and Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo. I like its silky-smooth texture, its odor that says “This guy who is using me is a real McCoy”, and its superb anti-dandruff capabilities. Whenever I shake my head, my hair goes wildly about, left and right, up and down, as if I were in some sort of slow motion – which is truly awe inspiring for all who happen to be near enough to observe this particular phenomenon. Sometimes, I can even hear sighs of jealousy of all the girls around me. Moreover, it saved my life on several occasions. On one occasion, I was walking down the street, minding my own business, when a mugger suddenly appeared out of nowhere, asking me for my money. I didn’t have my wallet, but I found a bottle of Head and Shoulders Anti-Dandruff shampoo in my pocket, with extra moist capabilities and scalp protection, so I hurled it towards the assailant’s head. It knocked him out cold, which probably saved not only my wallet, but also my life! This is the main reason why I like – no, love – this particular cosmetic product. The fact that some people do not like this particular shampoo is completely incomprehensible to me.

I have been using this equate shampoo product for about a year and I love it. My hair is permed so it goes well with that..This shampoo conditioners my hair and has moisturizer in it so it makes my hair feel soft.

….Medicated Dandruff Shampoo. This is a product my wife originally bought because she likes the brand Selsun Blue and figured this was a cheaper alternative. Since she doesnt use it very often she is one of those women that has three or four shampoos she alternates between she told me I was free to use it.I used it once and the very next day made sure to buy my Head and Shoulders.I was actually a bit surprised I didnt like this product because even though I do prefer Head and Shoulders Im not the type of person who is very picky when it comes to something like shampoo.

I’ve been battling dandruff since middle school, which would be about 15 years now. I’ve used head and shoulders, 3 varieties of selsun blue, nizoral and 2 kinds of tea tree oil shampoo. The selsun was prescribed by a doctor for treating dandruff and the tea tree oil was suggested by a beautician. Each would work for a while and then whatever effect they gave me would wear off. I actaully was starting to think that the dandruff, which I believe is bacteria (I could be wrong) was becoming resistant.

About 2 months after I decided to try the Shielo Hydrate Shampoo (with the Shielo Hydrate Conditioner), I did some more research on dandruff. I found a couple of websites that said that people misdiagnose dandruff for severely damaged scalp. What the human scalp wants to do is produce oil to protect itself, the oil being transferred to the hair. But since people in general do not want oily hair, we use shampoos to strip the oil. Stripping the oil causes the scalp to produce oil in greater quantities. This causes the scalp to dry out. Dry scalp gives a person the impression that they need dandruff shampoo, which dries out the scalp even worse. What a person should actually get is shampoo for dry scalp.

After I found that bit of information out, low and behold, I had a bottle of this Shielo Hydrate shampoo in my bathroom. I’ve used it a couple of times and the flakes have almost entirely stopped, the itchy scalp is not anywhere close to as itchy and as long as I use it daily, the oil is manageable.
